Often color is the hardest choice made in design. The scale of this room and the windows allow for a daring color to be used on the wall. The stripe fabric selection for the drapery panels pulls the wall color and carpeting together, without competing with the color of the wall. The drapery panels are simple yet elegant. The panels are shirred on a rod and tied back, at the window separation, with with a large strip of contrast fabric. By simply using two panels on each end of the windows the open space of the room is accented, while allowing for the window edge to be softened. The panels hung just below the decorative arch window draw the eye up and accentuate the beautiful arch.
