Here we have a button back valance which is an inverted pleated valance with contrast fabric inside each pleat.
The pleats are then folded back and held with fabric covered buttons.

how wide is the insert for the button back
The insert is approximately 20″ wide allowing for a generous pleat to fold back.
Do you have instructions on how I could make this for a six foot wide window
