Not all windows have to be treated identically, even in the same room.

In this family room, floor to ceiling pinch pleated panels are hung on rods with rings and beaded tassels are sewn into the inside edge.

The windows flanking the fireplace use the same hardware and fabric with pinch pleated valances.  Again the same trim is along the bottom edge.
